The Sound Massage Bowl with Handle® is a specialized instrument designed for practitioners of Sound Healing and Vibroacoustic Therapy.
This instrument was developed within our school in 2014 by Jorge Zain as part of an ongoing exploration into how sound can be applied directly and effectively on the body in therapeutic contexts.
It was specifically created to make it easier for students and practitioners to transfer vibration to any area of the body with precision and control. While suction-based tools already existed at the time, they did not provide the stability and safety required during a session.
Its unique structure enables the practitioner to apply sound with precision, creating a strong sense of safety, stability, and trust for the client, while maintaining full control of movement and pressure.

Does the handle affect the sound quality of the bowl?
No. The handle is designed to preserve the bowl’s natural resonance, delivering clear and consistent vibrations without altering its tone or sound quality.
What makes this bowl different from suction cups?
While suction cups are practical, as they can be used with different bowls to apply vibration on the body, they often lack stability, precision, and control during a session.
The Sound Massage Bowl with Handle ® was specifically developed to overcome these limitations.
Its design allows the practitioner to maintain full control of the instrument, ensuring a stable, safe, and continuous contact with the body, without the risk of detachment or disruption.
It also enables a seamless transition between techniques: the practitioner can apply vibration directly on the body and then move into sound bath techniques with the same bowl, eliminating the risk of it falling or losing contact during the session.
This results in a more fluid, precise, and reliable therapeutic experience, both for the practitioner and the client.
Which areas of the body can I work on?
This bowl can be used across the entire body.
The handle allows the bowl to remain stable and vibrating regardless of the client’s position — whether lying down, on their side, or seated.
It is also highly effective for:
- Moving the vibration across the body;
- Working along energy pathways or meridians;
- Integrating into sound bath techniques when needed.
Do I need training to use it?
The instrument is intuitive to use. However, we recommend basic training in Sound Massage or Sound Vibration Work to ensure safe and effective application.
We also recommend our training programs, where you can develop the skills and understanding needed to work with sound in a precise and professional way.
