Short product description

A compact vibroacoustic Jambati singing bowl for sound massage, body-oriented sessions, and harmonic sound work.

With its 20/21 cm diameter and approximate weight of 1.2 kg, this is the smallest model in the Jambati Series. It is lighter and easier to carry than the larger sizes, while still offering the rich harmonic character that defines Jambati bowls. In practice, it works well for localized vibratory application on the body and can also be integrated into Sound Healing, meditation, sound bath, and yoga sessions.

A compact vibroacoustic Jambati bowl

This bowl belongs to our Vibroacoustic Singing Bowls – Jambati Series, a line of bowls selected for their ability to work in direct contact with the body while also offering the broad harmonic richness typical of Jambati models.

The 20/21 cm size is the most compact in the series, with an approximate weight of 1.2 kg. Its lighter weight makes it practical to transport and handle, especially for practitioners looking for a more agile bowl.

How this size feels in practice

Because it is lighter and has a smaller base than the larger Jambati models, this bowl requires a bit more technique when applied on the body. If the practitioner does not yet have enough experience, stability can be more delicate than with wider and heavier bowls.

Its vibratory effect is also more localized. This is not yet a bowl that tends to create a broad sense of expansion through the whole body. The vibration is perceived more specifically in the area where the bowl is placed, which can be very useful when more focused work is desired.

The character of the Jambati Series

What makes the Jambati Series special is its highly symphonic quality. These bowls are rich in harmonics, overtones, and resonance. In sound massage, the lower tone is what the body perceives as vibration, but with a Jambati bowl there is also a fuller and more musical sound field around that vibratory base.

This gives the 20/21 cm Jambati a wider range of use than a bowl designed only for body-focused vibration. It can be used in individual sound massage sessions, but it can also take part in Sound Healing, meditation, sound bath, and yoga, where its harmonic presence becomes part of the experience.

Selection matters more than size alone

At Vibroacustica, we do not classify a bowl as vibroacoustic just because it is large. A big bowl may produce low tones when struck with a mallet, but that does not automatically mean it will respond in the same way when activated through friction with a wooden stick. For sound massage, that distinction matters.

This is why our vibroacoustic bowls are selected according to their real response in practice, not only by diameter.

How does the vibration of this bowl feel in the body?

You can use this bowl to generate sensations of vibration in specific areas of the body. This means that the vibration will be felt mainly in the exact area where you place the bowl.

From a physics perspective, the lower the sound, the longer the wavelength it emits. For this reason, bowls with a lower tone produce a much more expansive vibration than smaller bowls.

This 20/21 cm bowl is the first model in the series of bowls for sound massage, its lowest tone is not yet in the deeper range associated with a more expansive body perception. For that reason, the vibration is perceived in a more localized way in the body.

Are all 20/21 cm bowls suitable for sound massage?

Singing bowls produce many notes at the same time, and it is the lowest note that generates the perception of vibration. Many bowls have that low note when they are struck with a mallet, but when they are rubbed with a leather-covered stick, that low sound does not come out with much strength.

You will never find those kinds of bowls in this collection, because we make a very meticulous selection in order to guarantee the best sound quality.

This is one of the reasons why we do not recommend buying bowls on platforms or in non-specialized stores, because they do not know what they are offering and the quality of the instrument becomes a matter of luck.

Is it easy to apply on the body, or does it require a lot of technique?

This 20 cm bowl requires a minimum level of technique to hold it on the body without it falling. With some practice, you will achieve incredible results in a very short time.

What is the practical difference between the Jambati Series and the Somatic Series within your vibroacoustic bowls for sound massage?

The Jambati Series and the Somatic Series are both vibroacoustic singing bowls for sound massage, but they do not behave in the same way.

The Jambati bowls are more symphonic and deliver a greater quantity of harmonics. This makes them more versatile, because in addition to sound massage, they can also be used in individual sessions, group Sound Healing sessions, meditation, sound bath, and yoga practices.

The Somatic bowls are more specifically focused on bodywork. They deliver the lowest tone more directly, which is what the body perceives as vibration. For this reason, they are more specific for direct work on the body and not as oriented toward group Sound Healing sessions or practices where a more symphonic bowl is needed.

Besides sound massage, can I also use it for Sound Healing, meditation, or sound bath?

The bowls in the Jambati Series are very symphonic. Within our collection of vibroacoustic bowls for sound massage, they are the most versatile, because you can use them both for individual sessions and for group Sound Healing sessions, yoga practices, among others.
